"Superb Vermentino from Corsica, complex and mineral".

"Light and fragrant nose with notes of hawthorn. A sunny abundance of white peaches and bergamot in a bright, tangy setting, punctuated with salty notes. Creamy parabolic curves transform citrus fruits into lemon cream and candied peel. Sweet, sugary, bright green herbs: basil, lemon balm, angelica. Very fragrant. Very pure. Mineral finish, cold and damp, like wet pebbles." (Jancis Robinson 2025)

Domaine noté (guide 2022) Award-winning wines (The wines of this producer are regularly awarded by the guide)

About the domain :

Yves Leccia, an oenologist involved in the revival and promotion of island wines, set up his own estate in 2005, after running the family business with his sister for some fifteen years. Today, with his wife Sandrine, he manages a 16-hectare vineyard on clay-limestone and schist soils in Poggio-d'Oletta. Certified organic since 2017, it is one of the pillars of the Patrimonio appellation, which is also often recognized for its Muscats.

Wine rated ( 2025 guide) 91/100 (Great wine)

About the wine:

The E Croce Blanc 2024 reveals aromas of white flowers, curry leaves, ripe orchard fruits, and iodine, followed by a moderately full-bodied, round, and supple palate with a delicately fleshy fruit core, lively acids, and a long, salty finish. Elegant and fragrant, it is an ideal introduction to Corsican white wines.

Wine rated (2026 guide) 91/100

Domaine rated (guide 2022) 1*Star (Stars in the making or quality winemakers with good production levels, you won't be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)

About the wine:

Light yellow with green highlights. A very pure Vermentinu with a beautiful mineral sparkle and floral and orgeat notes. The palate offers a light, chiseled, thirst-quenching structure. Not intended for aging, it offers immediate pleasure, perfect as an aperitif or with grilled fish.

About the domain :

Yves Leccia and his partner Sandrine run a vineyard located mainly on the E Croce and Partinelone plots. The land is ploughed and tilled, and organic fertilizers are used. In recent years, the estate has innovated with new wines such as O Bà, Biancu Marinu and L'Altru Biancu. These carefully-crafted wines remain good ambassadors for Corsican vineyards, but care must be taken not to erase too much of their individuality: some of the wines, more formatted than in the past, give pride of place to technicality.

About the wine:

Patrimonio E-Croce 2024 comes from one of Patrimonio's finest terroars, composed of clay-limestone soil interspersed with schist, which gives the wine a devilish precision and makes it a powerful expression of Vermentinu. In 2024, the wine expresses itself with notes of stone and a well-found reduction. The texture is pure, lively, balanced, and very dynamic. A mineral wine, vinified with talent and great style, it is a lively and fresh white to be enjoyed now and until 2030.
