“A blend dominated by Sciaccarellu, Niellucciu, and Minustellu, which translates in the glass to a lightly extracted, medium-red, garnet-vermilion hue. The nose is ripe and precise, with floral notes of roses and peonies, fresh savory, and a subtle woody touch. The texture on the palate is delicate; one can sense the vintage’s generosity and its refined tannins. This is a wine ready to drink, easy to enjoy, and a pleasure to savor for up to five years.” (Le Guide RVF 2025)

Bettane & Desseauve
Winery rated 1*Star (A high-quality, recommended production that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))
About the estate:
The vineyard is located in the heart of the magnificent Ortolo Valley and produces wines that are well-defined and properly crafted, though they lack the distinct character of the very best. We particularly recommend the rosé, which fully lives up to expectations.

Rated estate (2024 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing wines of a high standard—you won’t be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)
About the wine:
A blend dominated by Sciaccarellu, Niellucciu, and Minustellu, which translates in the glass to a moderately extracted wine with a medium-deep, garnet-vermilion hue. The nose is ripe and precise, with floral notes of roses and peonies, fresh savory, and a subtle woody touch. The texture on the palate is delicate; one can sense the vintage’s generosity and its refined tannins. It is ready to drink, easy to digest, and a pleasure to enjoy for the next five years.
About the estate:
Founded in 2000, this estate, situated in the enchanting setting of the Ortolo Valley, has been fully planted with 16 hectares of vineyards surrounded by Mediterranean scrub—a special place where mountains meet the hills. The first certified organic vintage here was the 2005. Élisabeth Quilichini’s work is bearing fruit, yielding a rosé, a white, and two reds of excellent quality, aged in large oak casks and capable of aging well. The estate has successfully evolved toward reds with an infused and fragrant character, earning a well-deserved first star last year.
