“The Freshness of Vermentinu”

The Castellu Di Baricci estate offers a white wine made from a single grape variety: Vermentinu. From the very first sip, you can sense a lovely liveliness, fresh and floral notes, as well as aromas of white fruit. Subtle hints of honey add a touch of richness to this wine. It’s a pleasure to savor it again and again!

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Winery rated 1 star (A high-quality, recommended wine that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))

About the estate:

The vineyard is located in the heart of the magnificent Ortolo Valley and produces wines that are well-defined and properly crafted, though they lack the distinct character of the very best. We particularly recommend the rosé, which perfectly meets expectations.

Wine rated (2025 guide) 92/100 (2023 vintage)

Rated estate (2024 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing wines of a high standard—you won’t be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)

About the estate:

Founded in 2000, this estate, situated in the enchanting setting of the Ortolo Valley, has been fully planted with 16 hectares of vineyards surrounded by scrubland—a unique location where mountains meet rolling hills. The first certified organic vintage produced here was the 2005. Élisabeth Quilichini’s work is bearing fruit, producing a rosé, a white, and two reds of excellent quality, aged in large oak casks and capable of aging well. The estate has successfully evolved toward reds with an infused and fragrant character, earning a well-deserved first star last year.
