Dominio de Pingus

In 1994, agricultural engineer Peter Sisseck discovered 4 hectares of extremely old vines in the Ribera del Duero region. Since then, these vines have been used exclusively to produce the legendary “Dominio de Pingus.” This single-vineyard cuvée, the product of vines over 80 years old with very low yields (11 hl/ha), is vinified according to a non-interventionist approach that Peter has enforced since his arrival at Dominio de Pingus. The advanced age of the Dominio de Pingus vines and mass selection allow the volcanic character of the Tempranillo to be tamed, resulting in wines of remarkable finesse that are complex and captivating.
