“Step into the world of Peter Sisseck with his PSI 2023, a new vintage that, according to Vinous, truly showcases the character of Soria!”

“The PSI 2023 is made from grapes sourced from 12 villages, primarily Gumiel de Mercado and Villatuelda, in the Soria region of the Ribera del Duero. [...] Garnet in color, it opens with notes of pine and herbs, followed by red fruits—cherry and a hint of plum. On the palate, it reveals fine tannins, a medium-bodied texture, and detailed fruit. The wine will reveal the character of Soria through the interplay between fine tannins and acidity. 2025–2040” (Vinous 2025)

Wine rated (2025 guide) 93-94/100 (Extraordinary wine)

Estate rated "Recommended" (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate)

About the wine:

Tasted just before bottling—a sample of the final blend—the PSI 2023 is juicy, ripe, and approachable. It is a bit more flamboyant and heady, despite an alcohol content similar to that of the 2022 in bottle (perhaps slightly higher, but not quite reaching 14%), and it seems a bit more ripe, with notes of peach and some faded flowers. It has abundant tannins and seems to need a little more time in the bottle. This is generally the case with PSI: the tannins need time. They mellow fairly quickly, but it still takes a little while. It should be bottled in May 2025. 2026–2034

About the wine:

The PSI 2023 is made from grapes sourced from 12 villages, primarily Gumiel de Mercado and Villatuelda, in the Soria region of the Ribera del Duero. The project began in 2007 with the restoration of neglected vineyards, which today total 200 hectares spread across approximately 700 plots, 25% of which belong to the estate. Garnet in color, it opens with notes of pine and herbs, followed by red fruits—cherry and a hint of plum. On the palate, it reveals fine tannins, a medium-bodied texture, and detailed fruit. The wine will reveal Soria’s character through the interplay between fine tannins and acidity. 2025–2040
