“The 2013 Barolo Castelletto has a straightforward, approachable character that makes it ready to drink in the short to medium term. It offers vibrant, youthful aromas of black fruit, tar, licorice, and white truffle. Although these elements will become increasingly refined and elegant, they already taste great. It is a lively wine with beautiful intensity that offers a friendly and disarming approach.”

The nose is rather floral and subtle. On the palate, it opens with red fruit and a hint of something wild! Unfortunately, this is followed by powerful tannins that are not very refined and haven’t integrated well enough, considering the wine is 7 years old. The finish is dominated by these tannins, with no other character. This is not in the vein of traditional Barolo. The second bottle reveals the same flaws. Forget it

Avoid this! It bears little resemblance to a Barolo and is utterly mediocre.

Overrated wine. Very average value for money. Lacks body and depth. Very disappointed.

A mixed review two months after receiving the wine. A little while later, after opening the bottle an hour beforehand, the wine revealed its full charm.

Not great at all, and the price is way too high. Very acidic. Short finish! A real disappointment
