"The Tenuta Il Palagio 2022 Chianti When We Dance (made from certified organic sangiovese and a tiny portion of canaiolo and colorino) is lively and punchy, with candied cherry and redcurrant aromas coming out of the glass nicely. No barrel aging is used. The easy Sangiovese character is perfect for gnocchi in a creamy cheese sauce. The finish is quite lean but fresh, with dry, mineral notes on the finish." Notwithstanding its very elegant presentation, I remain somewhat dubious about this Chianti's flowing, juicy, lively profile, with intense flavors of bright red fruit underlined by pronounced acidity. Fine, present tannins accompany the vibrant, mineral allonge. I would have appreciated a little more body and substance. In the end, it's a bit expensive to "dance". Convivial and digestible with a generous dish of spaghetti carbonara sprinkled with Parmesan. Score = 3.8.

Very good Chianti, nicely marked by the Sangiovese grape variety, with notes of red fruit and geranium on the nose, a fluid wine on the palate despite the presence of tannins, notes of red fruit, pepper, lovely freshness... Ideal with moussaka.
