This Dolcetto d'Alba has the typical characteristics of the region. The balance between acidity, tannins, and alcohol is harmonious. Fruitiness dominates the nose and palate, making this wine delicately indulgent. A Piedmontese red that is best enjoyed young!

Review and opinion by Mr. JEAN LUC L. Published on 02/16/2019

Dark, almost opaque color. Discreet nose. The wine needs to be shaken to release aromas of black fruit and prunes. More expressive on the palate, with notes of licorice and prunes again. A pleasant hint of bitterness appears, followed by prominent tannins. A serious wine, as opposed to frivolous, but seriousness is a quality here!
