San Cristoforo Farm
The Podere San Cristoforo estate is one of Tuscany's rising stars, "the most exciting and promising project in the appellation" according to R. Parker, "Lorenzo Zonin produces the most fascinating wines in the Maremma."

Located in the hills not far from the coast, in the municipality of Gavorrano, surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, and sunflower fields, the Podere San Cristoforo estate is characterized by constant wind, which is key to the ripening of the grapes. The soils of the Gavorrano hills have a very high clay content. Of the 45 hectares that make up the Podere San Cristoforo estate, only 14 are planted with vines. The grape varieties grown are Sangiovese, Petit Verdot, and Syrah for the reds, and Vermentino and Trebbiano for the whites.

The estate has been cultivated biodynamically for years, with low yields and exclusively manual labor. All work is focused on the quality of the fruit. Lorenzo Zonin produces great Tuscan wines, wines of extraordinary freshness and complexity. Podere San Cristoforo is set to become one of the most renowned estates in Tuscany.
