Podere San Cristoforo
Podere San Cristoforo is one of Tuscany’s rising stars, “the most exciting and promising project in the appellation” according to R. Parker, “Lorenzo Zonin produces the most fascinating wines of the Maremma.”

Located on hills not far from the coast, in the municipality of Gavorrano, amidst vineyards, olive groves, and sunflower fields, the Podere San Cristoforo estate is characterized by a constant breeze, which is key to the ripening of the grapes. The soils of the Gavorrano hills have a very high clay content. Of the 45 hectares comprising the Podere San Cristoforo estate, only 14 are planted with vines. The grape varieties grown include Sangiovese, Petit Verdot, and Syrah for the reds, as well as Vermentino and Trebbiano for the whites.

The vineyards have been cultivated biodynamically for years, with low yields and exclusively manual labor. All efforts are focused on the quality of the fruit. Lorenzo Zonin produces great Tuscan wines, extraordinary wines of freshness and complexity. Podere San Cristoforo is poised to become one of the most renowned estates in Tuscany.
