Rated Estate (2024 Guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking, and as such, all the estates listed here—even those without a star—represent, in our view, the pinnacle of French winemaking.)

About the estate:

This historic estate in Passenans was given a new lease on life when Emmanuel Grand and his partner Nathalie—the daughter of Arbois winemakers—took it over in 2015, significantly reducing the vineyard’s size and deciding to convert it to organic farming. The results were not long in coming, and the lineup—which encompasses all Jura specialties—continues to improve each year. “I like to master things in order to understand them,” says the meticulous Emmanuel Grand: his philosophy is perfectly reflected in wines that are crisp, vibrant, delicious, and full of character. The future belongs to them.
