"Third Favorite for the estate with its blend of Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, which form a powerful duo here. "Marin" because there is a lovely breath of fresh air here that moderates the natural power of perfectly ripe fruit. Very delicious, with barely any wood influence (15% of the blend), the nose enchants with its blossoming fruit of cherry, red berries, and wild berries. Full-bodied and round, supported by melt-in-the-mouth tannins, the palate releases crisp fruit notes tinged with a delicious hint of vanilla, with freshness and no softness whatsoever. Sensual and carnal, this beautiful wine offers a delicious compromise between maturity and vigor. The jury bows down before such grace! ( Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2020)

We appreciate the balance and harmony of this vintage. Elegant and mellow nose, ripe red fruits, sweet flowers, flavorful and full-bodied on the palate, with clean tannins and good length.

About the estate:

A stone's throw from the city of Carcassonne and the Canal du Midi, Ch. de Paretlongue was founded in the 12th century by the canons of Carcassonne on the site of a Gallo-Roman villa, then passed into the hands of several noble owners. Purchased in 1872 by the Auzias family, wine merchants, it is now run by their descendants, Nathalie and Dominique Auzias, who, after expanding the estate, now have 160 hectares in a single block.
