"In this westernmost part of the Corbières region, selecting the right plots and grape varieties is key; Thierry Tastu has chosen and blended Syrah (55%), Grenache (25%), and old Carignan and Mourvèdre vines (10% each) to create this cuvée with a deep color enlivened by violet highlights. After an initial, somewhat wild nose, the bouquet evolves toward plum jam, violet, and a hint of oak (fermentation was completed in barrels). The full-bodied attack opens onto a palate that is at once voluminous, round, and subtle, supported by polished tannins with toasted and cocoa notes. A rich, distinguished, and approachable wine.” (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2018)
