Bettane & Desseauve

Médaille d'Or

Concours Paris

“In this westernmost part of the Corbières region, it’s essential to choose the right plots and grape varieties; Thierry Tastu has selected and blended Syrah (55%), Grenache (25%), and old Carignan and Mourvèdre vines (10% each) to craft this cuvée with a deep color enlivened by violet highlights. After an initial, slightly wild nose, the aroma evolves toward plum jam, violets, and a hint of oak (fermentation was completed in barrels). The full-bodied attack gives way to a palate that is at once voluminous, round, and subtle, supported by well-integrated tannins with toasty and cocoa notes. A rich, distinguished, and approachable wine.” (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2018)
