Domaine Marc Kreydenweiss
The Marc Kreydenweiss estate in the Costières de Nîmes region is located in Manduel and was purchased by the Kreydenweiss family in 1999. The family has a centuries-old history of winemaking, with its original stronghold in Andlau, Alsace. A domain which, thanks to its climate, soils, grape varieties and terroirs, inspired the desire to fulfill a dream and indulge a passion for red wines.
The vineyard of Domaine Marc Kreydenweiss is located on the Costières hilltop, about 30 miles west of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, on a terroir of ferruginous soil composed of rounded pebbles from the Rhône River, ideal for producing great red wines. Marc Kreydenweiss, a staunch advocate of biodynamics, is interested in the old grape varieties of the region, particularly Carignan, but also Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and others. The entire vineyard is cultivated using certified organic and biodynamic methods.
Marc Kreydenweiss also had a cellar built that complies with these healthy and ecological principles. The wines of Domaine Marc Kreydenweiss have a strong personality, reflecting expertise worthy of the very best. Jean, his son, joined his father in 2016 and is now in charge of the estate.
