Domaine Marc Kreydenweiss
The Marc Kreydenweiss Estate in the Costières de Nîmes is located in Manduel and was acquired by the Kreydenweiss family in 1999. The family has a centuries-old history in winemaking, with its original estate in Andlau, Alsace. A domaine whose climate, soils, grape varieties, and terroirs inspired the desire to realize a dream and fulfill a passion for red wines.
The vineyards of Domaine Marc Kreydenweiss are located on the Costières hillside, about 50 km west of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, on a terroir of iron-rich soil composed of rounded Rhône river pebbles, ideal for producing great red wines. Marc Kreydenweiss, a staunch advocate of biodynamics, focuses on the region’s old grape varieties, particularly Carignan, but also Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre… The entire vineyard is cultivated using certified organic and biodynamic farming methods.
Marc Kreydenweiss also had a winery built that adheres to these sound and eco-friendly principles. The wines of Domaine Marc Kreydenweiss possess a strong character, reflecting a level of expertise worthy of the very best. Jean, his son, joined his father in 2016 and is now at the helm of the estate.
