Les Verrières de Montagnac

Les Verrières de Montagnac is a vineyard located in the newly established Grès de Montpellier appellation, at the heart of the Coteaux du Languedoc—a vast amphitheater facing the Mediterranean and backed by the Cévennes.

Les Verrières de Montagnac consists of small plots of arid, clay-limestone soil, as if carved with a chisel, evoking the full spectrum of yellow and red ochres, encircled by the khaki-green hues of cypresses, olive trees, and fig trees, set against an azure blue backdrop. Born in a climate of contrasts and intensity characteristic of the Languedoc region—marked by cool nights, hot days, and strong winds—the wines of Les Verrières de Montagnac draw the best from the richness of this heritage, from its continuously tended vines that root deeply to gather the water and aromas that define their uniqueness. In pursuit of quality, the Domaine des Verrières de Montagnac adheres to the principles of sustainable agriculture, limiting the use of herbicides and opting instead for severe pruning, supplemented, when necessary, by green pruning to control yields and facilitate the ripening of the grapes.
