Les Verrières de Montagnac

Les Verrières de Montagnac is a vineyard located in the very recent Grès de Montpellier appellation, in the heart of the vast amphitheater facing the Mediterranean and backed by the Cévennes mountains, known as the Coteaux du Languedoc.

Les Verrières de Montagnac consists of small plots of arid, clay-limestone soil, as if carved with a chisel, reminiscent of the entire range of yellow and red ochres, surrounded by shades of khaki green from cypress, olive and fig trees, set against an azure blue backdrop. Born in a climate of contrasts and violence specific to the Languedoc region, between cool nights, hot days and strong winds, the wines of Les Verrières de Montagnac draw the best from the richness of this heritage, from its continuously worked vines that take root deep in the soil to collect the water and aromas that make them so unique. In pursuit of quality, Domaine des Verrières de Montagnac adopts the principles of sustainable agriculture, limiting the use of weedkillers and preferring to carry out severe pruning, supplemented, where necessary, by "green" work to control yields and facilitate the ripening of the grapes.
