"The 18 months of barrel aging have left their mark on this almost pure Syrah, with a toasty, vanilla nose and a backdrop of black fruits. Present on the palate but without excess, the aging has nicely coated the fine, firm tannins that support a full-bodied, indulgent and remarkably fresh texture. This red wine has great depth and potential, and will benefit from a few years' cellaring."(Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2021)

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2021 guide) 1*Star (A serious production, recommendable, in line with what one would expect from its appellation(s))
About the estate:
This property made Faugères great in the 1990s, before being taken over by Julien Seydoux, who came here with the modesty to learn about the terroir and the desire to bring Les Estanilles back to the forefront. The wines are gradually adapting to the raw materials and still have room for improvement. The reds are powerful and flavorful, wines with strong personalities.

About the estate:
In 2009, self-taught Julien Seydoux bought this 44-hectare estate, which is run organically and produces some truly remarkable Faugères wines. A sure bet.
