Mas des Capitelles
Mas des Capitelles is a family-owned estate that has been passed down through several generations. In the early days, Jean Laugé delivered his grapes to the Faugères cooperative winery. In 1999, with the arrival of Cédric and Brice Laugé, the family decided to return to making wine in their own cellar.
Located in the heart of the Faugères AOP, the Mas des Capitelles vineyard spans 28 hectares of south-facing schist hillsides. It is planted primarily with Carignan, Mourvèdre, Grenache, Syrah, and Cinsault, as well as Roussanne and Vermentino. Cultivated organically since 2011, it fully expresses the terroir’s distinctive character.
Mas des Capitelles crafts wines in the spirit of artisanal, family-run production. Extended aging imparts depth, balance, and elegance. Each cuvée reflects the identity of the terroir and offers excellent aging potential.
