Mas des Capitelles
Mas des Capitelles is a family-owned estate that has been passed down through several generations. In the early days, Jean Laugé delivered his grapes to the Faugères cooperative winery. In 1999, with the arrival of Cédric and Brice Laugé, the family decided to resume winemaking in their own cellar.
Located in the heart of the Faugères AOP, the Mas des Capitelles vineyard spans 28 hectares of south-facing schist-rich hillsides. It is planted primarily with Carignan, Mourvèdre, Grenache, Syrah, and Cinsault, as well as Roussanne and Vermentino. Cultivated organically since 2011, the vineyard fully expresses the terroir’s distinctive character.
Mas des Capitelles crafts wines in keeping with artisanal, family-run production methods. Extended aging imparts depth, balance, and elegance. Each cuvée reflects the terroir’s identity and offers excellent aging potential.
