About the estate:

Since 1998, this 10-hectare estate, located in the Villafranchian terroir of Caux, not far from Pézenas, has been the brainchild of Jean-Pierre Vanel, a former restaurant owner from Sète. Taken over in 2016 by the young winemaker Marc-Olivier Bernard, the estate is undergoing a smooth transition, which should ensure the continuity of the beautiful, sensitive, and natural style developed over the course of two decades. Aged for a long time in oak, the reds (including the Syrah-dominated Mélanie cuvée) are generous, vibrant, and carefully crafted wines. They boast a sunny, ripe character, yet remain light on the palate thanks to well-controlled alcohol levels. The exclusive Mourvèdre cuvée ...Ma Non Troppo is well worth seeking out.
