About the estate:

Since 1998, this 10-hectare estate, located in the Villafranchian terroir of Caux, not far from Pézenas, has been the brainchild of Jean-Pierre Vanel, a former restaurant owner from Sète. Taken over in 2016 by the young winemaker Marc-Olivier Bernard, the estate is undergoing a smooth transition, which should ensure the continuity of the beautiful, sensitive, and natural style developed over the course of two decades. Aged for an extended period in oak, the reds (including the Syrah-dominant “Mélanie” cuvée) are generous, vibrant, and meticulously crafted wines. They boast a sunny, ripe character without heaviness, thanks to well-controlled alcohol levels. The exclusive Mourvèdre cuvée …Ma Non Troppo is well worth seeking out.
