"Way to go!"

An aromatic wine produced in the coolest regions of the Languedoc. Its nose offers lovely floral notes, a hint of smokiness, and aromas of brioche. On the palate, it strikes a beautiful balance between bitterness and sweetness, with a lovely, lingering finish featuring exotic fruits and citrus. A wine to enjoy!

Wine rated (2023 guide) 92/100 Favorite (2020 vintage)

Rated Estate (2023 Guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking, and as such, all the estates listed here—even those without a star—represent, in our view, the excellence of French winemaking.)

About the estate:

This estate, which had been abandoned when Denys Armand took it over in 1980, is located in the town of Saint-Mamert-du-Gard, halfway between Uzès and Sommières, in the Lens Mountains. Upon his arrival, the winemaker undertook a major restoration project to preserve the heritage of the old vines, replant new grape varieties, and convert the sheepfold into an aging cellar. The estate has been certified biodynamic since 2013. The vineyard is highly diverse, with no fewer than 16 grape varieties used for winemaking. The wide daily temperature range and the coolness of the terroir explain why half of the production is devoted to whites—vibrant and elegant. The reds express the same finesse, combining intense aromas with delicate and supple textures. This production and the variety of the cuvées bring a breath of fresh air and renewal to the Languedoc.
