Éolienne Rouge has an intense nose of black berries with delicately spicy notes. After a supple attack, the palate is velvety with silky tannins. Very fresh and delicate!

Wine rating (2023 guide) 91/100 (2020 vintage)

Rated estate (2023 guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking and, as such, all the estates listed in it, even those without stars, represent, in our opinion, the excellence of French production.)

About the estate:

This estate, which had been abandoned when Denys Armand took it over in 1980, is located in the commune of Saint-Mamert-du-Gard, halfway between Uzès and Sommières, in the Lens massif. Upon his arrival, the winemaker undertook a major restoration project to preserve the heritage of the old vines, replant new grape varieties, and convert the sheepfold into a wine cellar. The estate has been certified biodynamic since 2013. The grape varieties are very diverse, with no fewer than 16 varieties vinified. The diurnal range and the coolness of the terroir explain why half of the production is devoted to energetic and elegant whites. The reds express the same finesse, combining intense aromas with delicate and tender textures. This production and the variety of cuvées bring a breath of fresh air and renewal to the Languedoc.
