Domaine de Cantaussel

The Domaine de Cantaussel has been owned by Claude and Jean-Luc Bohler since 1995. This historic estate is located on the “Petit Causse,” at a moderate altitude (300 m), secluded in a garrigue landscape, a few kilometers north of Siran, on the western edge of the Hérault department.

Domaine de Cantaussel benefits from a distinctive terroir: a clay-limestone and sandstone soil, stony, arid on the surface, cool at depth, and a topography of small sloping or terraced plots. The year 2011 marked Domaine de Cantaussel’s transition from sustainable farming to organic farming. 

Domaine de Cantaussel wines are crafted according to simple principles: modern techniques, traditional methods, and above all, respect for the grape—the fruit of the earth, the vine, and human labor.
