Domaine de Cantaussel

The Domaine de Cantaussel has been owned by Claude and Jean-Luc Bohler since 1995. This historic estate is located on the “Petit Causse,” at a moderate elevation (300 m), secluded amid garrigue scrubland, a few kilometers north of Siran, on the western edge of the Hérault department.

The Domaine de Cantaussel benefits from a distinctive terroir: clay-limestone and sandstone soil that is stony, dry on the surface, and cool at depth, with a topography of small, sloping or terraced plots. The year 2011 marked the Domaine de Cantaussel’s transition from sustainable farming to organic farming. 

Domaine de Cantaussel wines are crafted according to simple principles: modern techniques, traditional methods, and above all, respect for the grape—the fruit of the earth, the vine, and human labor.
