“Often awarded stars, this vintage has earned the “ Favorite ” designation for its 2022 release. Vinified from whole clusters and aged with restraint in tanks, this is a well-ripened Syrah (70%) with an inviting nose of blackcurrant syrup and raspberry, nuanced with cocoa and pepper. The same richness of fruit gives this wine its charm on the palate—full-bodied, succulent, and both ripe and fresh, supported by very round tannins. A luscious, sunny, lively wine that is incredibly indulgent to drink right now and will remain so for several more years.” (Le Guide Hachette 2025).

Dark red core, cherry-red rim. Nose: primarily ripe dark fruit—plums, blackberries, and blackcurrants. Some reductive notes, as well as dried herbs, garrigue, and spices, including white pepper. On the palate: sultry, ripe, sun-kissed dark fruit. Plenty of soft, fine-grained tannins. Lots of body, fruit, a certain freshness, and length with velvety, mouth-filling tannins. A powerful, masculine, and well-balanced wine that paired excellently with the chili con carne. Even has aging potential. Score: 16+/20

Review by Mr. GILLES D. Published on February 13, 2025
Generous and complex, the palate echoes the nose, unfolding a continuous stream of candied black fruits, sweet spices, and herbaceous notes that glide into a velvety texture with a fine grain. The tannins are smooth, supple, and structuring; they add volume and depth and coat the finish with a hint of cocoa. Very affordable and still in its youth, it will delight diners when paired with a traditional cassoulet or a hare stew with blood sauce. Rating = 4.
