Clos du Causse - Minervois La Livinière 2015
Médaille d'Or
Gilbert & Gaillard
Here’s a Languedoc wine that has all the makings of a great wine! Made from a blend of Grenache and Syrah, the Clos du Causse boasts a powerful nose of stone fruits and garrigue aromas. Smooth and elegant on the palate, it captivates the senses and reveals remarkable finesse. Menthol notes and a distinct minerality provide perfect balance on the finish, with a hint of bitterness that accentuates the aromatic persistence. A success with great potential!

About the estate:
Guy Vanlancker, head of Domaine Combe Blanche, seized the opportunity to lease 1.5 hectares of young vineyards surrounded by the Causse plateau, located in the town of Félines, in Minervois-la-Livinière. The estate has been in the process of converting to organic farming since 2018.
Gilbert & Gaillard
Wine rated (2018 guide) Gold Medal
About the wine:
Deep, garnet color. The nose offers notes of stone fruit, spices, and licorice. On the palate, the fruit is crisp and pure, with well-controlled intensity. Full-bodied, with good texture and an alluring savory character. The finish is softer. A Minervois that’s ready to drink.

Review by Mr. PASCAL P. Published on November 25, 2018
With aromas of blackcurrant, prunes, and dark chocolate; a full-bodied, toasty palate; and lovely acidity, this is a very lively wine (which is quite an achievement given its 14.5* alcohol content). A well-structured wine
