Oppius is the estate's grand cuvée, dominated by Syrah. Flavorful and distinguished, it opens with an intense nose, fragrant with black fruits and chocolate. The palate is powerful, beautifully concentrated, tinged with notes of leather. The tannins are full-bodied but silky smooth. A lovely minty freshness harmoniously enlivens the whole. A distinguished Minervois!

About the estate:

All that remains of the medieval fortress of the lords of Oupia are sections of wall, remnants of the enclosure, and a tower. In 1860, Romain Iché bought the castle, which passed to his grandson André in 1970. André undertook to renovate the estate and the cellar, turning the property into a benchmark for the Minervois appellation. He passed away in 2007, leaving his life's work to his daughter Marie-Pierre.
