Paraza Castle
In the Languedoc region, overlooking the stunning Canal du Midi, Château de Paraza stands as the guardian of an age-old winemaking tradition. For hundreds of years, Château de Paraza has been a wine estate that spans 80 hectares. The vineyard is situated on hillsides, facing due south on soil that is ideal for growing grapes. With its rich historical and commercial heritage,Château de Paraza captured the hearts of Annick and Pascal Danglas, who purchased it in 2005. Passionate about wine and travel, this love story then became a beautiful family story with the arrival of their three children, Matthieu, Antoine, and Lucie, at the estate. Together, drawn by the incredible challenge of cultivating the land, making fine wine, and renovating the property, they combine effort and innovation to produce wines that blend the strength and finesse of their terroir. Thus,in just a few years,Château de Paraza has evolved significantly under this family-driven initiative: sustainable agriculture, biodiversity, vineyard renewal, new vats and cellars... all with the aim of expressing the best of the Languedoc terroir.

The Château de Paraza vineyard in the Minervois appellation benefits from a clay-limestone soil rich in alluvial deposits and siliceous pebbles, where old vines of Syrah, Grenache Noir, and Mourvèdre thrive, as well as Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, Marselan, Roussanne, and Gewürztraminer. This diversity of grape varieties, combined with the care taken in the vineyard and in the cellar, allows us to produce expressive wines offering great aromatic richness and a balanced structure.
