"A dazzling Minervois at a bargain price!"

The Château's 2020 Reserve vintage was dazzling, and these old vines (40 years old) are cut from the same cloth. Cherry pit, raspberry, pine forest, spices—the nose is enchanting. There is nothing forced about this intense, peppery palate, but rather delicacy and smoothness, even in the silky tannins, and above all, ripe, sapid fruit that makes you want to pour yourself another glass. This Minervois will certainly age well, but it is already so delicious. A real bargain." (Le Guide Hachette 2026)

About wine:

The Château's 2020 Réserve vintage was dazzling, and these old vines (40 years old) are cut from the same cloth. Cherry pit, raspberry, pine forest, spices—the nose is enchanting. There is nothing forced about this intense, peppery palate, but rather delicacy and smoothness, even in the silky tannins, and above all, ripe, sapid fruit that makes you want to pour yourself another glass. This Minervois certainly has good aging potential, but it is already so delicious. A real bargain.

About the estate:

Established in 1997, Jérôme Portal, who runs several properties in Minervois, not far from Serre d'Oupia, has made his mark in the Guide. He produces a number of wines under different labels: Ch. Beaufort, Ch. Molières, Ch. Artix, Ch. Portal, and Ch. Sainte-Madeleine.
