“Well-structured yet subtle, with delicate spice, supported by silky tannins and partial barrel aging that doesn’t mask the fruit, this ambitious red is sure to please. It is a worthy representative of the appellation, best suited for short-term aging and paired with a fine cut of beef.”(Le Guide Hachette 2023)

About the wine:
Well-structured yet subtle, with delicate spice, supported by silky tannins and partial barrel aging that doesn’t mask the fruit, this ambitious red is sure to please. It’s a worthy representative of the appellation, best suited for short-term aging and paired with a fine cut of beef.
About the estate:
Vincent Hayer, who served as the estate’s operations director for nearly 20 years, took over management of the property in 2020. The estate, formerly a vineyard belonging to Château de Troussay, has been certified organic since 2012 and biodynamic since 2015. Owned by the deeply committed Chevrier family, the estate spans 30 hectares divided between Cour-Cheverny and Cheverny, featuring notably very old Sauvignon vines.

About the estate:

They respect the aging process and the identity of the Sauvignon and Chardonnay for the whites, and the Pinot Noir and Gamay for the reds. Let’s observe the transition...
Jancis Robinson
Wine rated (2023 guide) 17/20
About the wine:
A very unusual blend! But it really works. It’s bursting with juicy, fresh fruit that’s also slightly sweet. The soft, supple tannins are firm and well-balanced. The wine’s herbaceous character carries it toward a longer finish and gives it more depth than the fruit alone would suggest. It’s a trendy bar wine. I love this wine. Pair it with small plates.
