"The finesse of Pinot Noir, the fruitiness of Gamay, and the aromatic touch of Côt come together in this beautiful bottle."

"Well-concentrated yet subtle, delicately spiced, supported by silky tannins and partial barrel aging that does not mask the fruit, this ambitious red is sure to please. It is a worthy representative of the appellation, destined for a short period of aging and a fine cut of beef."(Le Guide Hachette 2023)

About wine:

Well-concentrated yet subtle, delicately spiced, supported by silky tannins and partial barrel aging that does not mask the fruit, this ambitious red is sure to please. It is a worthy representative of the appellation, destined for a short period of aging and a fine cut of beef.

About the estate:

Vincent Hayer, who served as the estate's operations manager for nearly 20 years, became the property manager in 2020. The estate, formerly part of Château de Troussay, converted to organic farming in 2012 and biodynamic farming in 2015. Owned by the highly committed Chevrier family, the estate covers 30 hectares divided between Cour-Cheverny and Cheverny, with some very old Sauvignon vines in particular.

About the estate:

With the departure of Italian Laura Semeria, a new chapter begins at the Montcy estate. [...] a family of investors from Orléans to secure the future of this biodynamically farmed property in Cheverny. The wines presented retain their sincerity of substance and aromas, without pretension. They respect the aging and identity of Sauvignon and Chardonnay for the whites, and Pinot Noir and Gamay for the reds. Let's observe the transition...

Wine rated (2023 guide) 17/20

About wine:

A very unusual blend! But it really works. It's bursting with juicy, fresh fruit, but also slightly sweet. The soft, supple tannins are sustained and balanced. The wine's herbaceous structure carries it to a longer finish and gives it more depth than the fruit would suggest. This is a trendy bar wine. I love this wine. Pair with small plates.

About wine:

Strawberries, redcurrants, plums, peppercorns, and a hint of damp earth. Medium-bodied with fine tannins. Supple, juicy, and elegant with a savory finish. Made from biodynamically grown grapes certified by Demeter. Ready to drink now.
