Domaine de Montcy - Cheverny Clos des Cendres blanc 2020
91/100
RVF
Made from old Sauvignon ( 60%) and Chardonnay vines, skin maceration on the old Sauvignon grapes gives the wine more structure. With a crystalline and chiseled profile, the "Clos des Cendres" is a model of a great Loire white wine!

About the estate:
Vincent Hayer, who served as the estate's operations manager for nearly 20 years, became the property manager in 2020. The estate, formerly part of Château de Troussay, converted to organic farming in 2012 and biodynamic farming in 2015. Owned by the highly committed Chevrier family, the estate covers 30 hectares divided between Cour-Cheverny and Cheverny, with some very old Sauvignon vines in particular.
