Made from old Sauvignon ( 60%) and Chardonnay vines, skin maceration of the old Sauvignon grapes adds more structure to the wine. With its crystalline and refined profile, the “Clos des Cendres” is a prime example of a great Loire white!

About the estate:

Vincent Hayer, who served as the estate’s operations director for nearly 20 years, took over management of the property in 2020. The estate, formerly a vineyard belonging to Château de Troussay, has been certified organic since 2012 and biodynamic since 2015. Owned by the deeply committed Chevrier family, the estate spans 30 hectares divided between Cour-Cheverny and Cheverny, featuring notably very old Sauvignon vines.
