2*Coup de Coeur
Hachette
“A magnificent sweetness that brings out the wine’s exotic character. Exemplary balance and freshness!”
"Kicking off the estate's new range, this recently created cuvée from schist terroirs adds another standout to an impressive list of Favorites. It is made entirely from botrytis-affected grapes, vinified and aged in barrels for one year. The result is a beautiful sweet wine with an intense nose of dried fruit, ripe grapes, prunes, dates, and honey, boasting great concentration, impressive volume and structure, with a subtle hint of freshness that ensures balance. A powerful, expressive, and long-lasting wine, built to last.” (Le Guide Hachette 2025).

About the estate:
Led by the younger generation—Stéphane, Julien, and Vincent Denis, who joined the business in 2003, 2006, and 2009, respectively—this has been a family business since 1920; it started with 5 hectares and now spans 90 hectares. A flagship estate in Haut-Layon, renowned in particular for its red wines, but also highly skilled in producing whites and rosés. A (very) safe bet.
