“A resounding success! The perfect Quarts de Chaume for your holiday celebrations”
“Combining remarkable maturity with great finesse, this rich and powerful sweet wine, aged without oak, displays superb balance. One can already delight in its notes of candied lemon, dulce de leche, apricot, and mango, as well as its full-bodied, long, and delicate palate, which allows the fruit to unfold with finesse. The concentration never overpowers, and the freshness is always present. A masterpiece, to be enjoyed on its own or with a light dessert such as a citrus or summer fruit salad.” (Le Guide Hachette 2024)

About the wine:
Combining remarkable maturity with great finesse, this rich and powerful sweet wine, aged without oak, displays superb balance. We are already delighting in its notes of candied lemon, dulce de leche, apricot, and mango, as well as its full-bodied, long, and delicate palate, which allows the fruit to unfold with finesse. The concentration never overpowers, and the freshness is ever-present. A masterpiece, best enjoyed on its own or paired with a light dessert such as a citrus or summer fruit salad.
About the estate:
This 28-hectare estate, run by the Davy family for five generations, is located on the Corniche Angevine between the Loire and Layon valleys. The historic wine house is a listed building (17th century), and the cellar is housed in a disused coal mine, where the wines intended for aging are matured. A reliable choice in the Anjou wine region, it is often noted for its sweet wines, Coteaux-du-Layon, and Quarts-de-Chaume in particular.
