“A resounding success!”

“Year after year, it’s more of the same for the Davys, who have once again produced a truly beautiful sweet wine. On the nose, subtle toasty notes unfold, followed by candied white fruits and apricot. This palette is enriched with sumptuous flavors of prunes and honey on an intense yet perfectly balanced palate—highly seductive, offering an ideal marriage of body, finesse, freshness, and richness. It pairs beautifully with fine fish or pan-seared scallops.” (Le Guide Hachette 2026)

About the wine:

Year after year, it’s more of the same for the Davys, who have once again produced a truly beautiful sweet wine. On the nose, subtle toasty notes unfold, followed by candied white fruits and apricot. This palette is enriched with indulgent flavors of prune and honey on an intense yet perfectly balanced palate—highly appealing, offering an ideal blend of body, finesse, freshness, and richness. It pairs beautifully with a premium fish or pan-seared scallops.

About the estate:

This 28-hectare estate, run by the Davy family for five generations, is located on the Corniche Angevine between the Loire and Layon valleys. The historic wine house is a listed building (17th century), and the cellar is housed in a disused coal mine, where the wines intended for aging are matured. A reliable choice in the Anjou wine region, it is often noted for its sweet wines, Coteaux-du-Layon, and Quarts-de-Chaume in particular.
