Bettane & Desseauve

Rated estate (2026 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))

About the estate:

A dedicated winemaker, Philippe Porché has converted his 16 hectares in the clay-limestone terroir of Parnay, on a hillside where rainfall is among the lowest in the region. With each vintage, the estate continues to evolve: the reds range from supple on the palate (the Le Page cuvée) to deeper, more refined tannins (Le Prince and Le Roy). The whites range from the smooth (La Jouvencelle) to the finely crafted such as the Clos de la Thibaudière and its well-located plot on the hill of Brézé. The perfect place to treat yourself.
