Claudia's red wine is a tribute to Portugal. The blend of Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, and Touriga Nacional expresses itself beautifully with notes of ripe red and black fruits. The tannins are supple and the oak well integrated. The fresh finish is reminiscent of the foothills of the Douro Valley. An invitation to travel!

About wine:
Claudia's Reserve 2015 is a blend of 42% Touriga Franca, 29% Touriga Nacional, and 29% Tinta Roriz, aged for 12 months in second-use French oak barrels. It has an alcohol content of 14%. It is enchanting this year. Its style is reminiscent of a "summer red" due to its fruity and sunny character, which is typical of the vintage. That said, despite its lively flavor and fresh, spicy sensation, it also has a certain structure, with moderately ripe tannins providing support. Added to this is a silky texture, elegance, and perfect balance. It can be drunk now, even if it is a little tight, it is still delicious. It will be better in about a year. For me, this is the best I have ever seen for the Claudia's Reserve cuvée. Once this burst of flavorful fruit has passed, will it continue to be as interesting? That question remains unanswered. However, it is so appealing this year that I have to consider it for now.
