Figuière - Figure #3 2021 (Vin orange)
"A unique option for the curious, perfect for serving with cooked fish or white meat dishes!"
This unique cuvée, made entirely from Rolle grapes, was vinified like a red wine, with 10 days of skin contact. Harmonious and featuring lovely, expressive fruit, complemented by notes of gingerbread and candied orange, the palate is exceptionally supple, highlighted by soft tannins.

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2020 guide): 2 stars (A solid, recommendable wine, though slightly more consistent and uniform than the previous vintage)
About the estate:
This is one of the most famous estates in Provence. It belongs to the Combard family, who manage this 85-hectare vineyard, 30 hectares of which are leased. The vines, located along the coast on schist soil, have been cultivated organically since 1979. Steps are currently underway to transition the entire estate to biodynamic farming. We applaud this commitment, which is no small feat for an estate of this size. While the wines are among Provence’s most reliable offerings, the family also goes above and beyond in welcoming visitors and, during the sunny days of the season, offers a cultural program well worth the visit.

A strange wine. The initial aroma is gassy, as if it had been opened on the stove without turning it on, followed by a second aroma of cooked asparagus. The finish is bitter and lacks acidity. Not at all pleasant.
