Figuière - Figure #3 2021 (Vin orange)
"A unique item for the curious, perfect for serving fish or white meat dishes!"
This unusual cuvée, made entirely from Rolle grapes, was vinified like a red wine, with 10 days of skin maceration. Harmonious and endowed with lovely, expressive fruit, complemented by notes of gingerbread and candied orange, it is very supple on the palate, underscored by soft tannins.

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2020 guide) 2 stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more consistent and uniform than the previous one)
About the estate:
This is one of the most famous estates in Provence. It belongs to the Combard family, who manage this 85-hectare vineyard, including 30 hectares of leased land. The vineyard, located on the coast on schist soil, has been cultivated organically since 1979. Steps are currently being taken to convert the entire estate to biodynamic farming. We applaud this commitment, which is no easy feat for an estate of this size. While the wines are among the sure values of Provence, the family also works hard to welcome visitors and offers a cultural program during the sunny days of the season that is well worth a visit.

A strange wine. The first nose is gassy, as if it had been opened on the stove without being lit, followed by a second nose of cooked asparagus. The finish is bitter and lacks acidity. Not at all pleasant.
