“The wine has a deep, purple hue. The nose is appealing and spicy, with notes of black pepper, garrigue, leather, and layers of ripe black fruit. On the palate, it is full-bodied with good volume, easy to drink, and features fresh black fruit with already rounded tannins; the finish is long and lingering, with great purity and potential.” (Andreas Larsson 2022)

Wine rated (2023 guide) 93/100

Rated estate (2023 guide) 3*Stars (High-quality production, setting the standard in its sector)

About the estate:

Planted in 1980 and purchased in 2010 by Caroline and Philippe Chauvin, this 15-hectare estate—eight of which are in Bandol—is situated on a hillside and laid out in terraces. Facing north and descending a fairly steep slope, the vineyard is rising from the ashes. With the construction of a beautiful winery, perfectly integrated into the landscape, and the opening of a farmhouse inn offering a wide range of products from their own production, the estate takes the concepts of hospitality and terroir very seriously.
