"A golden yellow in color, this 90% Vermentino-dominant cuvée offers a complex nose of mango, candied zest, vanilla, roasted and spicy notes. Round and opulent, it is still marked by ageing and needs to be cellared for some time". (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2020) Micro appelation de Provence!

Bettane & Desseauve
Wine rated (2020 guide) 15/20 (Very good wine)
Domaine rated (2020 guide) 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more regular and homogeneous than the previous one)
About the wine:
The woodiness of the ageing blends perfectly with the slightly smoky notes of citrus fruit, zest and thyme. Beautiful, well-crafted substance, with depth but still in reserve. Aeration will bring out its full potential.
About the domain :
Situated on the hill of Séoules, in the hills above Nice at an altitude of almost 300 meters, the terraced vineyards benefit from the sea spray that tempers the summer heat. Having vinified 47 vintages and established the reputation of the Bellet appellation, Ghislain de Charnacé sold his 12-hectare vineyard in 2014 to the property management company La Française REM (which also owns other vineyards). Considerable resources were deployed to restructure the vineyard, under the leadership, since summer 2018, of Jean de Laître, a talented master winemaker also present in the Bordeaux region. An ultra-functional winery at the foot of the old chapel now enables us to vinify as closely as possible to the terroir. A new style is emerging, with a reorganization of the range into three levels (entry-level, vins de terroirs and cuvées d'exception agnès), promising a bright future for this historic estate. The latest vintages demonstrate this welcome change of direction.
