2*Coup de Coeur

Hachette

"This remarkably complex, full-bodied cassis conjures up elegant aromas of jasmine, honeysuckle, white fruit and mango. An aromatic register long echoed by an ample, dense, generous and satiny palate, underlined and lengthened by a fine vivacity." (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2018) The estate's great white!

Wine rated (2018 guide) 16/20 (Very good wine)

Domaine rated (2018 guide) 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production but a little more regular and homogeneous than the previous one)

About the wine:

Its aromatic complexity, centered on citrus fruits and aromatic herbs, is underscored by a fresh, poised mouthfeel. Generous and long on the finish, this is a fine gastronomic white.

About the domain :

An exceptional terroir, whose soil has never seen a single input. The 20-hectare vineyard is spectacular, with terraces clinging to the side of the mountain on an impressive slope, with a breathtaking view of the sea. Located on the oldest, historic part of the Cassiden vineyard, the estate as we know it today was created by Jules Savon, the village's former mayor. Bought by the Zafiropulo family in 1920, it is now run by the younger generation, embodied by Jonathan and his wife. The elegance of the domaine's wines lands on the palate like the summer wind on the sea. The finest expression of the appellation, from a great terroir.

About the domain :

It will soon be a century (1921) that the Sack family has been running this estate, which is now managed organically. The property, located in the Calanques National Park, boasts 12 hectares of terraced vineyards, facing the sea on the slopes of Cap Canaille, and dominated by an Art Deco mansion.
