Wine rated (2018 guide) 16/20 (Very good wine)
Rated estate (2018 guide): 2 stars (A solid, recommendable wine, though slightly more consistent and uniform than the previous vintage)
About the wine:
Its complex bouquet, centered on citrus and aromatic herbs, is highlighted by a fresh and balanced mouthfeel. With a beautifully generous and long finish, this is a superb white wine for fine dining.
About the estate:
An exceptional terroir, whose soil has never seen a single chemical input. The 20-hectare vineyard is spectacular, consisting entirely of terraces clinging to the mountainside across an impressive elevation change, with breathtaking views of the sea. Located in the historic section—the oldest part of the Cassiden vineyard—the estate as we know it today was founded by Jules Savon, the village’s former mayor. Purchased in 1920 by the Zafiropulo family, it is now run by the younger generation, represented by Jonathan and his wife. The elegance of the estate’s wines unfolds on the palate like a summer breeze over the sea. The finest expression of the appellation, born of a great terroir.

About the wine:
This full-bodied blackcurrant wine, with its remarkable complexity, evokes elegant aromas of jasmine, honeysuckle, white fruits, and mango. This aromatic profile is echoed at length by a full-bodied, dense, generous, and silky palate, underscored and extended by a subtle liveliness.
About the estate:
For nearly a century (since 1921), the Sack family has been running this estate, which is now farmed organically. The property, located in the Calanques National Park, features a 12-hectare vineyard terraced in restanques, facing the sea on the slopes of Cap Canaille, and dominated by an Art Deco-style mansion.
