About the estate:
The Lapierre family has been cultivating vineyards in the town of Coudoux since the late 18th century. In 1935, Jean Lapierre, then a naval officer, decided to devote himself entirely to the land, which was primarily planted with olive trees. In 1952, Max Lapierre succeeded his father and began transforming the estate into a wine-growing property. In 1973, his son Yves founded Château Saint-Hilaire and became a grower-owner. The estate stretches across the stony slopes of the Coudoux hills, situated halfway between Montagne Sainte-Victoire and the Alpilles mountain range. The vineyards thrive across 55 hectares facing due south, currently in the process of converting to organic farming.

An unpretentious rosé that is round and fresh, with distinct notes of ripe red berries and citrus, whose aromatic intensity lingers through a particularly long finish, enhanced by a sustained minerality. Reasonably priced. Versatile, it was served with spaghetti with baby squid. Rating = 3.7.

It has a strong flavor. But it's excellent. Does it go well with a meal? We prefer the Trop Rosé, which is lighter, but it's better as an aperitif.
