A new vintage, the 2010 was rated: RVF 16/20
The name on the label truly reflects this wine: Grand! A very expressive cuvée, with notes of white fruit, delicate, perfectly balanced, and featuring a wonderfully long finish—truly delicious. A great regional wine!

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2023 guide): 3 stars (High-quality production, setting the standard in its sector)
About the estate:
Vintage after vintage, Revelette has established itself as a grand cru of Provence. Tucked away in a valley on the northern slope of Mont Sainte-Victoire, Peter Fischer has been running the estate since the mid-1980s, employing viticultural practices that aim to be as natural as possible. Surrounded by forests, the vineyards are set in a wild, unspoiled setting and transform in the spring into a vast meadow of flowers. A generous soul, Peter also keeps Kiki, a domesticated pig, peacocks, chickens, dogs, and cats at his home—reminiscent of Pippi Longstocking’s house. This passion for life is reflected even in the glass, with wines that are refined and true to their character. Recently, the younger generation has been stepping up, and his daughter Clara is on her way to taking on the challenge.
Guide des Vins Gault & Millau
5-Star Rated Estate (Outstanding Production)
About the estate:
Revelette comprises 24 hectares of vineyards, 12 plots situated at altitudes ranging from 330 to 400 meters, planted with 9 grape varieties, primarily reds (Grenache, Cinsault, Carignan, Syrah, and also Cabernet). This is the northernmost terroir of the Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence appellation, all located about thirty kilometers north of Aix, in Jouques. But Revelette is also, above all, Peter Fischer and his partner Sandra, who manage the vineyard using organic farming methods, including plowing, natural grass cover, and the use of sheep manure, among other practices.

Rated estate (2023 guide) 2*Stars (These exceptional estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves that, thanks to the consistency and excellence of their wines, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers)
About the estate:
Located in a cool terroir in the upper reaches of the appellation, in the town of Jouques, and neighboring Château de Vignelaure, this magnificent estate has been in the capable hands of Peter Fischer since the 1985 vintage. The vineyards have been certified organic since 1998. German by birth, Provençal by adoption, Peter Fischer broke new ground in the 1980s by planting Chardonnay in Provence with a vision of producing great white wines. At an altitude of about 400 meters, this terroir is ideal for preserving the brilliant balance found in the whites that delight us today. We are perplexed by the reds, which lack precision. This is likely due to the cellar environment, which depends on the winemaker’s rigor. Peter Fischer’s children, Clara and Hugo, now assist him at the estate.

I tasted a bottle of it—it’s very good. It’s quite dry, with hints of white fruit and white flowers.

Unlike their entry-level IGP wine, which offers excellent value for money, I find the Grand Blanc’s value for money a bit lacking. It’s well-made, but I think you can find something just as good for less. I’ve saved three bottles to drink later, and I may revise my opinion.
