Bettane & Desseauve

Rated wine (2026 guide) 93/100 (Top-rated wine)

Rated estate (2015 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))

About the wine:

Terroir: A bright color with light highlights. A subtle nose, marked by woody notes. Light and balanced on the palate, offering a simple and approachable profile. A clean and pleasant finish. Pair with simple dishes; ideal with poultry or grilled fish.

About the estate:

The ten or so hectares planted on this northern slope of the Alpilles, on clay-limestone soils, produce increasingly refined reds that age well over time, with a refreshing finish of fine quality. Neil Joyce can be proud of his latest vintages.
