Cairanne is a charming village in the Haut Vaucluse, near the Enclave des Papes. Produced mainly from grenache noir and syrah vines planted on clay-limestone soils, Terre des Cigales reveals intense aromas of cherry and blackcurrant, with with hints of garrigue. François Dauvergne and Jean-François Ranvier are part of a new generation of young Rhône Valley négociants. Deeply involved in the production of their wines, they work with their winemaker friends throughout the year, preserving the expressions of their terroirs. Founded in 2004 by François Dauvergne and Jean-François Ranvier, wine professionals who decided to create their own cuvées after working for others, this trading house has asserted itself year after year through quality wines made from parcel selections. In 2013, the two partners took over Dom. des Muretins (tavel and lirac) and in 2014 developed a range of Bordeaux wines in collaboration with Patrice Hateau.
