"Parcel selections"

This dark purple vintage looks serious. The nose confirms this impression of richness: blackcurrant, licorice, and notes of vanilla and mocha make up a complex bouquet. The palate is full-bodied and very dense, marked by concentrated fruit (blueberry, blackberry) which nevertheless brings a lovely freshness, with tannins that are still a little harsh. A youthful flaw due to recent barrel aging that should quickly fade away. A Saint-Joseph with a strong character." (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2022)

Rated estate (2022 guide) 3 stars (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)

About the estate:

François Dauvergne and Jean-François Ranvier are part of a new generation of young wine merchants in the Rhône Valley. Deeply involved in the production of their wines, they work with their winemaker friends throughout the year and preserve the expressions of the terroirs. The style is structured without excess, with perfect aromatic definition. The duo continues to evolve, and their range extends from Hermitage in the north to Luberon in the south, including Côte-Rôtie, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and Costières-de-Nîmes, and now even includes partnerships as far afield as Roussillon! Recently, the adventure has expanded to Bordeaux.

About the estate:

Founded in 2004 by François Dauvergne and Jean-François Ranvier, two wine professionals who decided to produce their own vintages after working for others, this wine merchant has gone from strength to strength over the years, producing high-quality wines from selected vineyards. In 2013, the two partners took over the Dom. des Muretins estate (Tavel and Lirac) and in 2014 developed a range of Bordeaux wines in collaboration with Patrice Hateau.
