A warm vintage and fully ripe grapes, mainly Grenache (65%), have forged the backbone of this sunny red wine, with a light garnet color and subtle brick tones, which blossoms on the nose with scents of wilted rose, macerated cherry, cinnamon biscuit, and Zan. Harmonious and well-structured, supported by fine, chalky tannins and subtle oak with hints of juniper, the palate enthusiastically reproduces the flavors perceived on the nose, refreshed by a touch of minerality. Perfect for game birds, starting next winter." (Le Guide Hachette 2026)

About wine:
Primary forest fruits and a slight meaty sensation. Lively acidity in the mid-palate, ripe black fruits and earthy spices on the finish. A simple but pleasant style on the palate.

The Cairanne 2022 is a very classic wine with notes of spice, limestone minerality, raspberry, and Provençal flowers in a medium-bodied, elegant, and attractive profile with fine tannins. A blend of 65% Grenache and 35% Syrah, it will be enjoyable for 5 to 7 years.

Note and opinion by Mr. GILLES D. Published on 06/20/2025
More expressive and full-bodied than the 2021 vintage, this intense 2022 red has retained its energy and offers a dense, abundant juice, harmonized around ripe fruit with lovely smoky and spicy accents. Bordered by soft and silky tannins, this is a delightful Cairanne (as is its price) combining power, roundness, and fruit that lingers on the finish. Ready to drink with osso bucco and polenta, or a Baron d'agneau des Alpes with Provence herbs paired with a bohemian eggplant dish. Rating = 4.
