A cuvée crafted exclusively for exceptional vintages!
“Deeply
colored, the 2015 Cairanne Marion B. has a modern touch to its aromas
and flavors of black fruit, soft oak, chocolate, and spices. It
is concentrated, medium- to full-bodied, with lovely richness, a solid
mid-palate, and a lovely finish. It’s a fine 2015 vintage that
drinks beautifully right now.” (Jeb Dunnuck) Treat yourself!

Review by Mr. GILLES D. Published on October 10, 2021
A disappointing vintage despite Jeb Dunnuck’s glowing review. It lacks balance, mainly due to an excessive concentration of overripe black fruits and poorly managed aging—partly in new oak. The result is a wine with a robust, heavily structured palate that is heavy and heady. The flavors of blackcurrant and plums, with overly sharp acidity, along with an excess of spices—particularly pepper—do nothing to improve its drinkability. It’s still too heavily influenced by the oak. In my opinion, at nearly €17 a bottle, it doesn’t add up—neither economically nor in terms of taste. Rating: 2.5. Admittedly, this is harsh, but there are far more harmonious wines in Cairanne—particularly from Brusset or Richaud—and even from X. Vignon (La Tempérance). Tasted after 1 hour of aeration at 16°, during a Sunday family meal featuring a “couscous royal” spiced with a hint of harissa. Fortunately, the lovely “Dame Rousse” 2018 red Lirac and the 2019 rosé Tavel from Domaine de La Mordorée came to the rescue, saving the day from this quickly forgotten Marion B cuvée.
