Domaine de la Janasse

Vineyard management is designed to achieve optimal ripeness and concentration in the grapes, but also—and above all—to bring out the expression of the terroir. To this end, the team at Domaine de la Janasse works the soil using various tillage methods (removing stones, hoeing) to encourage the roots to grow deep into the ground, and spends many hours on vine training and pruning, such as debudding, leaf removal, and green harvesting. Each of these tasks is carefully considered on a case-by-case basis, plot by plot, year by year. Added to this is a meticulous approach to winemaking and aging. Domaine de la Janasse is a family-run estate where the utmost care is taken in vineyard management and in crafting exceptional wines.
