Domaine de la Janasse

The work in the vineyard is organized to obtain the best ripeness and concentration of the grapes, but also and above all the expression of the terroir. To achieve this, the Domaine de la Janasse team works the soil with a variety of ploughs (decavaillonnage, binage) to force the roots deep into the soil, and performs many hours of green work, such as de-budding, leaf thinning and green harvesting. Each of these operations is considered on a case-by-case basis, plot by plot, year by year. To this is added a particular meticulousness in the vinification and ageing of the wines. Domaine de la Janasse is a family-run business, where the utmost care is taken in working the vines and in making great wines.
