Domaine de la Janasse

Vineyard management is organized to achieve optimal ripeness and concentration in the grapes, but also—and above all—to express the terroir. To achieve this, the Domaine de la Janasse team works the soil using various tillage methods (removing stones, hoeing) to encourage the roots to grow deep into the ground, and spends many hours on green pruning, such as debudding, leaf removal, and green harvesting. Each of these tasks is carefully considered on a case-by-case basis, plot by plot, year by year. Added to this is a particular meticulousness in the winemaking and aging of the wines. Domaine de la Janasse is a family-run estate where the utmost care is taken in vineyard work as well as in the production of exceptional wines.
