Vignoble Diffonty - Châteauneuf-du-Pape Manus Dei 2020
90-92/100
Jeb Dunnuck
"Don't miss it!"
"The 2020 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Manus Dei offers abundant notes of black fruit, peppery herbs, graphite, and leather; a full-bodied, medium- to full-bodied wine, bursting with fruit, already crisp and charming. It should age well for another ten years. The blend consists of 65% Grenache, 25% Syrah, and the remainder Mourvèdre, aged in large oak casks, old barrels, and concrete tanks.” (Jeb Dunnuck 2021)

Rated 2 stars (A solid, recommendable wine, though slightly more consistent and uniform than the previous one)
About the estate:
Château Sixtine is the new name for the former Cuvée du Vatican estate, a well-known property owned by the Diffonty family. The 24 hectares, spread across various parts of the appellation—including 5 hectares bordering Château Rayas in Pignan—allow for skillful blending, resulting in a beautiful, classically styled wine.
