"The nose of this vintage shows full maturity, with a very buttery style. The palate, still compact and dense, definitely needs to refine, but this Condrieu, with its subtle bitter notes, shows great promise." (RVF Special Vintage 2015 - June 2016)

Rated estate (2023 guide) Recommended (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate)
About the estate:
Nestled in a small cul-de-sac in the heart of the village of Condrieu, Domaine Niero has only nine hectares of vines: four in Condrieu, two in Côte Rôtie, just over one in Saint-Joseph, and just under one in Crozes-Hermitage. There is also around one hectare dedicated to IGP Collines Rhodaniennes, both Syrah and Viognier. Although the clean and modern approach is undeniable, the wines are full of character and expressive of their different terroirs.

About the estate:
Since 2004, Rémi has been at the helm of this family estate, which boasts a beautiful range of terroirs in Condrieu, with 4 hectares divided into six plots. He also produces several Côte-Rôtie vintages from the Viallière and Bassenon terroirs, as well as a Saint-Joseph vintage, Bois Prieur, and another in Crozes-Hermitage. The wines are serious, rather classic, with sometimes a little aging that marks them during their youth.
