"New vintage"
The first vintage of this wine, Crozes Hermitage Vie Magne 2020, is made from stones and red clay around the commune of Beaumont. It is beautifully fleshy and round, with restrained pepper notes and lots of ripe cherries, a full palate and a light sprinkling of supple tannins on the finish. It should be a pleasure to drink over the next few years." (Wine Advocate 2022). • Please note, limited quantities available.

About wine:
The first vintage of this wine, Crozes Hermitage Vie Magne 2020 is made from rolled stones and red clay around the commune of Beaumont. It is beautifully fleshy and round, with restrained pepper notes and lots of ripe cherries, a full palate and a light sprinkling of supple tannins on the finish. It should be a pleasure to drink over the next few years.
About the estate:
Nestled in a small cul-de-sac in the heart of the village of Condrieu, Domaine Niero has only nine hectares of vines: four in Condrieu, two in Côte Rôtie, just over one in Saint-Joseph, and just under one in Crozes-Hermitage. There is also around one hectare dedicated to IGP Collines Rhodaniennes, both Syrah and Viognier. Although the clean and modern approach is undeniable, the wines are full of character and expressive of their different terroirs.

Rated estate (2024 guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking and, as such, all the estates listed in it, even those without stars, represent, in our opinion, the excellence of French production.)
About the estate:
Since 2004, Rémi has been at the helm of this family estate, which boasts a beautiful range of terroirs in Condrieu, with 4 hectares divided into six plots. He also produces several Côte-Rôtie vintages from the Viallière and Bassenon terroirs, as well as a Saint-Joseph vintage, Bois Prieur, and another in Crozes-Hermitage. The wines are serious, rather classic, with sometimes a little aging that marks them during their youth.
