Domaine Georges Vernay
Domaine Georges Vernay is a family-run winery founded in 1953, starting with 1.5 hectares of vineyards in the Condrieu AOC "Coteau de Vernon" appellation. A pioneer in the appellation’s revival, Domaine Georges Vernay has always distinguished its wines with a unique style: finesse, elegance, and harmony. Three generations have shaped the estate’s philosophy and carried on centuries-old traditions with the utmost respect for the vines and the people.

Domaine Georges Vernay is situated in the heart of the steep slopes of the northern Rhône Valley. The estate has become a major symbol of the history of viticulture in the Rhône Valley, from Georges Vernay’s rescue of the Condrieu appellation to the international recognition of Côte-Rôtie. Today, winemaking is overseen by his children, Luc and Christine Vernay, and the estate spans 16 hectares. Regardless of their classification, the wines are always flavorful and of the highest quality.

An iconic estate in the Rhône Valley, Domaine Vernay is renowned for its Côte-Rôtie and Condrieu wines. Christine Vernay, who has managed the estate and overseen winemaking for over 20 years, succeeded her father (Georges Vernay, known for saving the appellation and the Viognier grape variety) and her grandfather (Francis Vernay), the estate’s founder, in 1996. The estate, with its steep slopes, is now fully certified organic and is managed with passion and dedication.
