On the palate, red and black fruits are delicately framed by Indian spices, while the olive brine continues to seduce with its wonderful flavor. The mouthwatering acidity and silky tannins complete its charm, making this wine irresistible." (Wine Enthusiast 2023). Simply superb!

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2022 guide) 3 stars (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)
About the estate:
Laure Colombo, a young and brilliant oenologist, joined the family business in Cornas but wanted to create her own estate on the heights of Saint-Péray to find her feet. This year, she is offering us a Saint-Péray and a Cornas from her Lorient estate. Joining does not mean taking over. Jean-Luc is still there, so the range is being built as a family, between the Côte Bleue and Rhône vineyards, and of course the sourcing activities, sometimes under the Colombo & Fille label, sometimes under Jean-Luc Colombo. The Cornas wines remain the great wines here, and it must be said that the modern, efficient winery is built at the foot of the hillside! In 2017, the delicious Vallon-de-l'Aigle will be rationed, with only two barrels produced!

About wine:
Tasted as a sample from the final blend, the 2020 Cornas La Louvée comes from a single plot located in the La Côte area. It is bursting with purple raspberries and delicate herbaceous notes, while being remarkably full-bodied and concentrated, with a long, velvety finish.
