Domaine La Bergerade - Costières de Nîmes rouge 2023
91/100
James Suckling
"The perfect companion for tapas parties and appetizer platters!"
"A silky, balanced, and appealing blend of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault, and Carignan. It reveals aromas of red fruit, wild herbs, and some dried spices. Medium-bodied, with fine tannins, a caressing texture, and a delicious, fruity finish with some length. Enjoy now. (James Suckling 2025)

About the estate:
Overlooking the Petite Camargue and its ponds, this 30-hectare vineyard surrounds a 17th-century sheepfold renovated by the former owners. Jean-Pierre and Virginie Ferraud moved there in 2021, modernizing the cellar, diversifying the grape varieties with Sangiovese, Separavi, and Sauvignon, and beginning the conversion of the vineyards to organic farming (now complete).
